The Tenba Shootout Large Backpack is a padded weather-resistant Ripstop nylon backpack made to carry two digital SLR’s, seven lenses, and a 17″ laptop computer. It has a padded dividable main section for photo equipment and a padded laptop compartment for a 17″ laptop computer.
I purchased my Tenba backpack at Calumet for $226. What I like about this bag is the over-sized laptop compartment which is divided into two sections which allows me to carry two laptops or one laptop and a notepad. The main compartment is also very deep and tapers in at the bottom allowing for front loading of lens that are 8 1/2″ or shorter, that includes a Nikon 70-200 2.8, allowing you to save space by not laying it down.

The Shootout backpack has padded side pockets that feature interior panels that can be moved to convert the space from cargo pocket to access the interior hatches. This allows fast, easy retrieval of a lens or accessory without having to fully remove or open the entire pack. There are interior clear, plasticized mesh pockets and web loops to hold accessories plus a memory card wallet and phone / ipod pouch.

There is a fully adjustable harness / belt system, a waist belt that features multiple clip-on points for pouches and accessories plus hand carry straps on top of the pack and on both sides to let you pick up the bag from any position.
The back of the pack opens up to a fully functional tripod holder with an ability to hold a wide range of tripods from compact to full size. There is a hidden compartment on the bottom of the pack that neatly conceals a rain cover. Also, the zippers on the Shootout are all weather resistant featuring rubber liners which close together when zipped to keep water out.
In conclusion, I really like this bag. It is very durable well made. The good thing is you are able to hold a lot of gear. The only bad thing is you are able to hold a lot of gear. What I mean by this is weight. You can stuff a lot of gear into this bag, just make sure you are comfortable carrying that much weight before you go out and bring it home. If you think weight will be an issue Tenba makes a medium and small size bag in the same style.
